Just thought this was funny.. My 8 year old nephew was telling me how cool I was for passing gas all the time one night and I asked him if he knew what the doctor did to make me so cool. (j-pouch and then gallbladder out) :

He told me that the doctor had cut me open, taken out all my guts and then went through them to get rid of the bad ones. They put the good ones back and took out some of my butt too. Then they sewed me back up and tied a bag around me so I could poop in it. He said that was kind of weird. Then I didn't need the bag to poop in anymore but I sure am in the bathroom pooping ALL the time so maybe it didn't work so good.

He said then I had another problem because the doctor must have missed something and they had to cut my liver out but thats ok because you don't really need your liver anyways. lol.

Kids are funny. Especially with body functions. I work with 5th graders and passing gas is something they find prize worthy.

Way to funny! My 11 year and his best friend couldn't wait to see my "bag" when I got home from end illeo. They think it is the coolest thing when my stoma "passes gas" ...makes all that gurgling noise. They call my stoma my butt on my belly.

Yeah kids can be funny.When mine were smaller they invited a friend from school for a "stoma show",,I was to show how i could shoot whole green peas out of it into a see through bag!,,noone believed them at school so they needed a witness

My nephew always asks to see my scars. And concerning the really deep stoma scar, he tells me I could store money there...you know coins and such. He thinks that would be cool.
If only I could find a use for it...

Thats what I used to say to random people on holiday when they had ask what is it on my belly ( i wore a bikini with my ileo bag covered up with fabric),,that it was my purse stuck on the side so i dont loose my valuables
