My husband recently had a bug which gave him the runs. I had surgery in July after suffering from UC for almost a year.
His comment to me, "I don't know how did this for a year. After 24 hours, I want to shot myself in the head." He has been so supportive through over the past year, but it was still funny to hear him say that. UC Dx: 9/2008 Step 1: 7/7/2009 Step 2: 11/18/2009 Surgery was the best decision I made! |

My last run of UC lasted 21 months without remission and ended in my surgery. One person said to me, "I know how you feel, I had the flu once for three days". When I said it really wasn't the same, she replied, "Oh, but it was really bad". Too funny!

Too funny....so funny you just want to bop them! My husband finally told me he really understood what I went through, after more than 20 years from my first diagnosis and around 9 years after my colectomy...but this was only after HE was diagnosed with UC about 5 years ago. He also had nothing but sympathy for my son, when he developed it this summer.
Good thing we have two bathrooms!!! I think I will buy some stock in Charmin, since we help support it's economy. Jan Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass. |
