I recently had my take down surgery on April 30th of this year. I have found that when I pick up my 2 year old daughter or something a little bit heavy that I get an intense pain below my stomach on the left side (about an inch to the left of my lowest incision near my pubic area). It has always gone away immediately after setting my daughter down until now. It has become constant and really painful. Does anyone know what this could be?

Sounds like a hernia.I would set up an appointment with my surgeon asap.Good luck.

I agree that it's probably a hernis. I had one after takedown and it was causing partial blockages. After my incisional hernia surgery, 5 months after takedown, I had to wear an abdominal wrap and could not lift anything that weighed over 10 pounds. I couldn't lift my cat. ~~~~~~~~I have not gone through all of this to give up now~~~~~~~~
