Throwing up and Diarrhea now

Hi...I posted yesterday with abdominal pain. It got worse last night...with intense pain every two minutes, and no pain in between..I also vomited twice, and finally went to the bathroom, which was liquid.
This morning, I feel much better...I haven't eaten much yesterday.
Any ideas? Is this a partial blockage? Pouchitis? Can pouchitis come and go like this?

THANK YOU!!!

Definitely sounds like you had a partial blockage, particularly with the pain coming at intervals. And, often with partial blockages, you will still experience a watery output/diarrhea as some stool is able to move around the obstruction. It's doubtful that this is pouchitis and moreover, vomiting isn't a typical pouchitis symptom, and pouchitis is most often not transient (though sometimes the symptoms can be--again doubtful in your case since this isn't indicative of typical pouchitis presentation).

That said, for future reference, vomiting accompanied by symptoms of a blockage is always cause to go to the ER and you should never wait it out when it gets to that point. While you are lucky that the obstruction appears to have cleared on its own this time since you are feeling better, most often when you get to the vomiting stage that is a sign of potentially serious obstruction that would normally require medical attention.

If you are continuing to vomit you need to go to the ER.

Thank you so much for getting back to me, Spooky! I'm so glad that I wrote in. I will definitely take your advice and not wait if this happens again.

Blockage agreed. same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago and many other times over the last 10 years. Vomiting always means a trip to the ER for IV fluids.
