Hello all,

I'm trying to help find info/advice for my brother who is an Amishman and does not have access to a computer himself.

He had had j-pouch surgury approx. 18 months ago at the Cleveland Clinic. The first six months went pretty well, but the last year of so he's been having problems with cuffitis and ongoing "leakage". Like many Amish people,he's somewhat sceptical of traditional medicine and has been using natural/herbal remedies without any real success. He's looking for new solutions to his ongoing problems and is trying to educate himself more about both herbal and/or traditional approaches to helping his cuffitis. I'm wondering in anyone here -on this site- would have any resources that you could point him to? Published materials -books, magazines, etc- would be best but he may be able to use his local library's computer to go online if he had specific things/websites to look at. I live about four hours away from him so I will be of limited help to him. Any help or advice you may have would be appreciated.

thanks

Phil

Here is a link to a Cleveland Clinic newsletter with an article about cuffitis treatment. Scroll down until you get to the article. Most of the information he will find will not be in published material, except for professional journals. He can also call the Cleveland Clinic for back issues of their Pouch-O-Gram newsletter. They have not published any recently.

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.
