What about tylenol? My daughter's surgeon said she can take that.

I use garlic pills to get rid of colds. As soon as I start feeling the sore throat I take two tabs in the morning and two at night. The cold will run it's course and be gone in three day. You can find them at the pharmacy at the grocery store. 500 mg Odourless Garlic. I hope this helps.

Sounds pretty minor and this should resolve before your surgery on Friday. You are doing the right thing by staying hydrated. If you are still having cramps, reduce your diet to a low residue or full liquid. Don't bother with Tylenol for minor temperature elevations unless you are generally achy. You are correct that if your UC is severe, then you can get a fever with that. If your temperature goes up over 100.6F, call your surgeon and/or GI. They may want you on antibiotics before surgery. Don't take too much garlic, because it can act as an anticoagulant and that is the reason you cannot take aspirin or ibuprofen. Jan
Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.
