Do a find on 'BCIR' and you will see the posts about it. There are definitely members who have undergone this procedure. You might also browse through the K-Pouch Korner forum.

Visit http://www.BCIR.com

It is a version of the Kock pouch. BCIR's are only done in Florida and California. You could get a Kock pouch in Europe.

Dear Deedeeh;

You also can have the k-pouch procedure at the cleveland clinic adr fazio is rated one of the best and i am looking into htis procedure as my j-pouch has failed and now find out that my spincter and anal area was damaged during surgery and lack of proper care after surgery at the seattle VA.

GOOD LUCK AND GOD BE WITH YOU.

that is such a shame that you did not get good care and are now suffering because of it. i hope you get it sorted soon. i am based in ireland so unfortunately Dr. Fazio is not feasible for me but i am currently trying to get into see a surgeon who has trained under him. fingers crossed. thanks for your advice. d.
