I had my surgery about 6 years ago. I've been getting those *****ly things coming out of my scar! From what I know, they used dissolvable stitches and staples. Has anyone else got this weird feeling that their stitches never dissolved? I also had dissolvable stitches used for a cyst removal in my vagina, and the first time, they didn't dissolve for weeks and had to be taken out. The second time, I woke up the morning after surgery and I had a gaping wound because they dissolved OVERNIGHT! Could the ones inside my stomach still be there, and poking their way through my skin?

Is that even possible?!?!

I have a stitch that is left and it is under the skin. My wound Dr. told me that it may or may not come out. It does not bother me though.

I've got a tiny bit of stitch left under my skin. My doc tried to get it out but couldn't. She said it'll either dissolve or get expelled naturally by my body, but it could take years and years....
