Hello, My 17yr old daughter had her 2nd jpouch done in 2/07 (at the Cleveland Clinic) and her reversal done in 6/07. Everything has gone great, and she is doing wonderful. Today she said she felt like there is pressure down there (in her bottom area/vagina area) and it is also causing some pain. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas of what this could be? She has never had this before. She said she has lots of gas too, other than all of that she said she feels fine. She is going to the bathroom a little bit slower. We tried to determine if it was something she ate, but she hasn't changed her diet.
Thanks for the advice!

It could be pouchitis but FAP'ers aren't as prone to pouchitis as the UC'ers. The fact that she's going a little bit slower might just mean her pouch is adjusting and this is a new sensation. But it could be a stricture or an adhesion. You might want to have her surgeon take a look, especially since she has FAP. Hopefully, it's nothing except the continuing adjustment period.

I had surgery 7-23-07 and TD 8-29-07. The last couple of days I have felt like things are slower, not empting fully, need to go again as soon as I stand up. Not everytime but there seems to be a good deal of pain when I go. Major pain in my tail area and lots of itching in my exit when I am not on the potty. I can't get comfortable standing for long or sitting. Is this just a part of the healing? I am also an FAPer and I am male.
