Hi, How can you tell if your soreness/itchiness in your bum is a fistula and not a hemorroid? A friend with UC thought she had hemorroids. Turns out it was fistulas and now they think she has Crohn´s instead.

You cannot make assumptions one way or the other, but fistulas generally give you drainage where there should not be any.

how do you know if it's a hemorroid either. I have something but I thought hemorroids were form straining when you go #2. Well I dont go from that end anymore, It's all closed up but I am having I'm not sure what but i'm itchy and sore on the bottom side and I don't know what I should do.
