Lysie,

I am coming up on two years out from surgury and I also am plagued by leakage. Bummer!! I constant with the yeasties as well. Nystatin powder seems to be best then the ointment. I have used over the counter yeast infection ointment as well. I tried athletes foot spray, burned, I would not recommend that..lol As you, seems no matter what I do, I still leak. Hope this helps.

• Probiotics
• Nystatin
• Diflucan
• AZO Yeast
• Boric Acid and Aci-gel

• Try 100% cotton underwear
• Avoid hot baths
• Dry well after baths, showers, sex, and such.
• Wear skirts (with no underwear while at home).
• Change towels daily.
.
• Always use unscented white soap to cleanse.
• Don’t wear tight clothing
• Avoid yeast, sugar, refined carbohydrates, and colorings in your diet.

Since probiotics have helped to thicken up stools and can help kill yeast if your not on a strong one yet that would be the first thing I would do.

Hope you feel better soon!

Katrina

Surfman,
How much do you leak at night? Thanks for the support by the way. It really helps knowing im not the only one with this problem. That is my ONLY problem and it just doesnt seem to go away. I get so frustrated when i talk to someone who has very recently had their surguries and they have no leakage at all what so ever. Just my luck, like always.

I really do believe that finding the right probiotic is the thing that stops leakage!
I've had pouchitis and leakage for almost a year now, and found that if I take 1 culturelle and 1 PB8 at bedtime it works for me. Play around with probiotics for awhile to see which ones work for you. The Culturelle and the PB8 together seems to do the job and I rarely, if ever, have leakage. Good luck, I know how frustrating it is....hope it works.
