Hi everyone - I need some advice quickly. Been having a quite a lot of blood (bright red) and thought I needed dilating. Saw my surgeon (over a year post TD) and he used his finger, said I was not constricted, saw no blood and no need to worry, but I should make an appt for after my holiday with the gastroenterologist just to be sure.
I am off to the far east on Thursday 25th, and earliest appt I could get was 4th march. That was Thursday. Since then things have got worse. I have a very heavy aching type pain - intermittent but always after eating and usually associated with wind. Still getting blood and now can't push at all as it hurts. I don't know what to do and am scared to go away for 3 weeks. Should I go to the ER? This message has been edited. Last edited by: gillianbrux, gillian |

Hi Gillian,
This is not something to be taken lightly. There is obviously a problem. I would try to get back in touch with your GI and explain the situation to him. If he won't see you as an emergency then yes you should go to ER. This is not something that I would want to got to the Far East with. I really do hope that you feel better soon and that this can be fixed before you go away. Take care and keep us posted. One glass of red wine per day is good for the heart..... it's just that mine's a big heart so I need a very big glass!!!! D-| Cheers! |
