Hi!, This is my first post! I just found this website last night. I had my J-pouch surgeries done about 10 years ago at St. Louis University Hospital and quit doing follow-up visits after a year or so, as I live about 5 hours away. I have been having more problems lately and have to go even more than the 12-15 times that has been all along. My doctors in the Joplin area can't seem to find anything wrong, but I am the only person in the area that has had this procedure. The Drs. that did the surgery in St. Louis are no longer listed in any directory that I can find. Does anyone know where I can find a Doctor that can help me? I can drive to Kansas City, St. Louis, Little Rock, Tulsa, Oklahoma City.

I would suggest going to the CCFA (Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America) website. You can search for a Dr that is a memember. There is a good bet that he will at least be familiar with pouch's

Thanks Keith. I needed that too. My surgeon was two hours away and has now moved to who knows where and I've been trying to find a knowledgeable GI for a while.
