I had the first step of the Jpouch surgery almost exactly 5 months ago Wednesday. I was told that it was normal to have pains like you need to have a bowel movement and for blood and mucus to come out. But lately it has been dark red and mixed with mucus. Is that normal? Should I be worried?

It's most likely normal. But to be on the safe side, give your doctor a call. I had this all the way until takedown.
