The last few days have been nothing short of a bad UC flare.
Sorry back to my post...I have a bottle of Librax, but I don't think I ever took it. I am prescribed to take it 3 times a day, (5-2.5MG). 1...Is that the normal dosage? 2...Do you keep taking it, or only when symptoms are really bad? 3...How long does it take to start working? Thanks in advance for any replies... Have a fabulous day! Hi Cataja. I am curious about this drug now so I looked it up and I am attaching a link. The usual adult dosage is described in the link. Feel well soon darling. I know how you feel, I have vicious BB...can't even sleep it's so bad

I took Librax for a while when I had UC. It mostly acted as a muscle relaxant. It cut down on the abdominal pain, gas, and helped me go a little more each time so i could go to bathroom less often. As far as dosage goes. I used to down them like candy. 2 pills 3/4 times a day, usual.
Feel better!! -sara |

I have a bottle also. They don't seem to do much for me but then I have a reverse reaction to most drugs.
There have been posts about it helping some members here though. I wouldn't take it and drive though. |

If I remember correctly, Librax did nothing but make me feel a little high. I took 2 pills 4 times a day. But I only did this for about two days because it just made me feel bloated and distended. I believe it's a long term type thing, and it starts working (slowing things down) right after you take it.

haha PS Holly I think if Cataja can manage the xanax and two vicodins then she's safe driving with the Librax.

I'm am still taking 3 Librax a day. I have to say I think it has been helping. I haven't had a chance to check out the link that annie included. I'll check there for dosing instructions. I'm going back to Mayo for a whole day on the 13th. 2 MRI's, a CT, blood & doctors appointment. Oh happy day. Have a fabulous day!
