C-Bread, my doc recommended Wet-Ones, so I tried it. I damn near died from the pain. I looked at the ingredients-the second ingredient was alcohol. I wanted to deck my doc for that advice.
So stay clear of any that have any alcohol in them. http://jeffuc.blogspot.com/ July 2006-Pancreatitis Oct. 2006-Pancreatitis 1. Colectomy Dec. 27, 2006 2. Takedown April 10, 2007 June 2007-Pancreatitis |

I am not glad that you all are experiencing the chronic itching, but I am glad to know that I am not alone. I had my take-down Jan. 17th and the itching has been horrible. Last Thursday I had a doc scope me and he said I had a bad case of cuffitis, which I assumed was causing the itching. I have been on canasta (steriod suppository) since then and the itching has not gone away. I am going to try some of the suggestions here. Thanks!

Does anybody use antihistamines? I swear by Benadryl cream. If the itching is particularly persistent, I then resort to Piriton orally, which is a lifesaver!
I hasten to add this is self-prescribed, so you may wish to clear it with your GP beforehand. David. |
