I know others have had this procedure, but I couldn't find their posts searching for 'defogram' on the site. I did search 'defogram' on Google and came up with some good, explanatory sites. Check those out if you need more info.

Yes I have had this test. Here it was called a pouch-empying study. It entailed having a thick (stool-like consistancy) medium inserted into the pouch. They kept adding more until the pouch was full, which in my case was an awful lot of medium! After which they told me to wait until I felt the need to empty and then they sat me behind a screen on a commode while they took pictures. I was only able to empty 12% of my pouch contents at that time so it was established that the reason they had needed so much medium and why I couldn't empty properly was that my j-pouch had stretched and was now far too large. It was buckling over on itself and this was causing my chronic obstruction and pouchitis problems. It's not the most blush-sparing type of test but it can tell the doctor an awful lot about what's going on and the mechanism of your j-pouch. Good luck and let us know how it went. Shell One glass of red wine per day is good for the heart..... it's just that mine's a big heart so I need a very big glass!!!! D-| Cheers!
