What has your doctor said about this? No, you shouldn't be having pain every day with every BM 10 months after your takedown. What kind of pain are you experiencing? If you haven't seen your doctor lately you need to make an appointment. Pain is usually an indicator or something that is not right.

Kathy thanks for responding. I have been to the doctor but it has been about 6 weeks ago. He scoped me and said there was just a real bad "irratation". Precribed Hydrocortasone suppositories and glycerine suppositories both of which did not help. A while back I did get a pouch-o-gram that revealed mild pouchitis and I do take Cipro occationally when I feel it coming on. My BM's are usually well formed but still have pain with each BM some days worse than others. I have somewhat learned to live with the pain but it is getting old. I will try the DR again and see what happens.

This sounds more like a fissure than just simple "irritation," and there are other medications for it. Make sure to follow up. If you don't tell them what's going on, they assume everything is fine.

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.

Jan's the boss on this one. Also keep in mind that a lot of folks have comfort problems with stool that is too formed(not as in hard/dry). The other thing is that depending on how often you use the antibiotic it may be possible that you have built up a resistance to the antibiotic.
Things to talk to yur doc about.
