my problems all started a year and a half ago after i was told i had bad case of pouchitis. all my imflamation went away but my problems never did. still going to the bathroom a lot, some days i have pain, and some days im sort of good. they treaded me for crohns with imuran but i dont feel any different taking the meds as upposed to not taking them.
but one thing i do notice is, i sit at a desk. when im at work my butt, rectum, insides get real sore from the sitting. but on days when im mving around all day i feel pretty good. no pain, no ungency to run the bathroom (sometimes i do)
any ideaa?

I would ask to have a digital rectal exam done (finger) to check for a stricture, and an anoscope (to look at the anal canal)to check for inflammation in the anal canal.

If you have a stricture it can cause inflammation in the anal canal which can cause pain and discomfort. Usually there will be other symptoms though like incomplete emptying, frequent trips with little output, and muscle spasms.

It should not hurt to sit. Also, keep track of your temperature during the day and in the evening. If you have a low grade temp in the evening you may have an abscess brewing that hasn't surfaced yet that could be the cause of the discomfort.

Keep us updated...Lori
