Well, I'm not sure that telling you to gain weight so you can have takedown surgery is going to work. I'm assuming you have a loop ileostomy and they're just calorie wasters. I think for many it's very difficult to gain weight while with loop. In my opinion, having takedown surgery might be the solution. Ask you surgeon about it. Other than that, I don't have any ideas other than what you're already doing except eating massive amounts of fat-rich foods followed by gallons of ice cream.

Apparently one's body does absorb calories since some of us (moi) have apparently held on to every single calorie that has passed our lips. It's just that the loop ileostomy makes things much more difficult.
Have you done a search here for 'gaining weight' (without the quotes)? This has been discussed quite a bit. I think that there were some recent posts with some weight-gaining hints. You might want to take a look.
