I'm no expert, but no, I wouldn't be concerned. I believe, and someone will correct me if I am wrong, that this is just UC going after the part of your rectum that is left.
I had this after my first step procedure and went into panic mode.
Now, after step 2 (j-pouch creation), I've not had one drop of blood - and I'm 9 weeks out from that second surgery.
However, my personal philosophy has always been to do what makes you feel the most comfortable - and if that's calling your surgeon, then I think you should. But, I wouldn't be too worried.

I had a little blood after I came home from stp #1 I got scared called the Dr and he said that was normal. I think I remember him saying " it was draining form the surgery" anyway he asured me it was nothing and it quit after a couple 3 times

i have had a little bleeding since my first op (1 of 3) which was 3 months ago. i have just had my head in the sand and was hoping it would go away. i am hoping this is normal. its not a lot just a bit on the tissue, mostly pale pinky colour. i have been to scared to mention it to my dr. my GP told me a while ago that this was normal but i am not sure for how long.

I am not sure how different it is for 3 step- I had 2. I had a small amount of blood on the tissue a few times. I also passed pale blood/mucus in between steps. They said it was normal, I have ever heard of people passing small staples. Airing on the side of caution, I would mention it to the doc for documentation but I think it is ok and not UC.

I had small amounts of blood after step 2 of 2. Only a couple of drops or a smear. Then I had more, like when I had UC. I got really scared. I had a scope which showed "slight inflammation" but the surgeon was very blasé about it. Just said it could be mild cuffitis or bleeding after having dilated naturally, and to take Asacol suppositories "if I felt like it". I told him that's what I'd done and the bleeding had stopped after 5 days, so he said "Great - just do the same thing if it happens again". He couldn't have been less concerned! If you're not in pain and not bleeding a lot, I wouldn't worry. Worry is never good for us IBD-ers!
