I was just in for a follow-up visit to see if my pouchitis was improving and ended up with another diagnosis that they called Celiac Sprue.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Hi Brenda, I was just checked for that but the findings were negative.
But I know someone that has this disease and her symptoms were very similar to the UC symptoms I was having prior to my pouch surgery. From what she tells me if she is very strict with her diet and eliminates as much gluten as possible she feels pretty good and can eliminate most meds. But if she cheats just a little she has problems. Best wishes, wish I could help you more.
