One week and two days after takedown and I was completely incontinent 4 times last night! I didn't eat anything after 5. I just couldn't hold it! Is this normal? I'm hoping this isn't something that just gets better, but that actually goes away! What a sleepless night. Did this happen and go away for anyone else? Please tell me it Did...

You just had the surgery. It takes time to heal. Everything will come around in due time. -Solomin

Your body is still adaping. It can take up to a year for your system to fully become what it is going to be. The first 4-8 weeks are definitely more difficult though. A few things. 1. Your system is going to be more active at night. Not eating does not mean no bathroom trips. I usually eat around 8 pm just so my system has something to work on at night. I am usually up 0-1 times per night to use the bathroom. 2. Start doing Kegel exercises to strengthen your rectal muscles. This is basically squeezing and holding( like you are trying not to go to the bathroom) for 20-30 seconds 10 per set. I did them nonstop during my surgeries and i have no issues. 3. measure your progress in weeks and months, not days. It will get better. It takes time.
