Why do they put you on Flagyl to help with infection only to have it just give you more diareah(sp). I don't know what is less of the two evils. I have been on Flagyl since Monday afternoon and I feel better, however, it is making go back and forth to the bathroom more, which is why he put me on it in the first place to call down the infection so I wouldn't go so much. I just want to give up. You darned if you do and darned if you don't.

Yep. It can do that to you. It pretty much kills everything (bacteria) - good and bad. You might try putting some good bacteria back in throughout the day (2-3 hours after taking your Flagyl) and see if that helps things.

Michelle, some people can not tolerate flagyl. It is not unusual. You might want to give your doc a call and let them know. There are other options like cipro or levaquin. If you're not better by Friday morning, definitely call. The purpose isn't to go more, it's to go less.
