Ciao a tutti.

Okay - I'm going to try the translation thing for Claudio. I hope I've gotten this right:

"Hello to all. My name is Claudio and after the first operation for the colectomy, on 6 March 2006, I was reconnected in July 2006. I'm doing fairly well, using the bathroom about 4 times a day, I eat a bit of everything, pasta, rice, (?) (also pineapple), sweets (I am greedy). Every so often I take a tablet of Loperamide especially when I drink too much sparkling water. The only problem is after meals. In fact after I've eaten, within a half hour I must run to the bathroom."

Il Claudio - penso che lei fa molto bene.

I don't have restrictions as such, I've eaten everything with no problems.

I think it's more down to my eating times more than anything. I eat breakfast 8am (Special K), lunch midday (wholemeal bread with ham) and dinner 5-6pm (usually rice or pasta based and spicey, no junk). Nothing after 6pm and inbetween, unless its fruit, I eat so much fruit I smell of them!

For a while I ate constantly (pigging out lol) and it didn't change too much, just needed 1 or 2 more a day.

I also think its related to what you ate before perhaps. Ive been brought up on spices and herbs from a wee bairn, so I guess perhaps my system is used to it?

I've been a vegetarian all my adult life. Had the j-pouch done in '92. I eat everything I want without problems. No pouchitits but small amounts of rectal bleeding. Somehow once in a while I even get constipated (still trying to figure that one out). In an experiment to help my energy levels out I ate fish yesterday at lunch for the first time in 20 years. It was not so good.

Damn....late for my anger management class again.
