first I like to say i,m just about 2 weeks out of takedown and the pain I get is feels like some one kick me in the butt my tail bone hurts and nothing seems to relief it and a time ago heating pad did some what.

I also had this same pain few months after step 1 I asked doc and he said no major problems there and he says deal with it I did for 2 months and finally went away but whata 2 months that was.

I have the same pain again and DO NOT want 2 months worth of pain like this again I asked him and I remember him saying don't worry after step 2 this won't happen will it has and he has no answers accept saying there is no major issues there so have patience .

Sorry to rant but I,m tired of them telling me to have patinece I been sick for yrs and I think I had all the patince and lies I can take from them , thinking about seeing a new doc unless anyone else had this problem and can lead me in the right direction .

thanks for reading.

Check your temp regularly. You might have an abscess or leak in the backside of your pouch. It may or may not be visible on CT. I had a small leak for years. It never showed up on CT or any tests. It was discovered during surgery for problems that resulted from the leak. It also might be nerve pain. You might try seeing a pain mgmt. doc and trying some meds they use for nerve pain. No, pain is not normal, and just because they don't see anything or any problems, it doesn't mean there isn't one. On the other hand, sometimes the problems not seen on imaging are only found with exploratory surgery, which has it's own risks and side effects.

Don't give up, but know it may be a long road.

after my surgery I had horrible horrible back pain nothing would relieve it. It just took time I assume it was all the nerve issues as well from them going in and moving stuff around but if your tailbone hurts as much as my back did I totally feel for you. All I can say is in my case after a few weeks it did get better.
