Hi Linda
I am from the Albany area. I had my surgeries at Albany Med (colectomy and Jpouch in 2004 and takedown in 2005). Did you have your surgeries localy? It would be great to have someone from this area to talk to! Please feel free to private message me if you would like. I would like to hear about your experiences with the doctors in this area and to share mine. I have not met too many others from our area but I am sure there are more of us out there.
There is a conference put on by the local chapter of CCFA coming up next month. They will be presenting on "What's new in treatment for Crohn's and Colitis" and "Surgical Management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease". It is being held at the Marriott on Wolf Rd. There will be other speakers too. It sounds interesting and I thought it might be a chance to meet other JPouchers. If you are interested in going too I can get you the info.
Looking forward to talking to you. Lynne
