Here I'm blaming my gall bladder for all my problems but it's gone, but not the burping, nausea, stomach pains and the constant bathroom trips all day and night. So the word is now that I have irritable pouch syndrome (the scope showed a beautiful looking pouch-thank you xifacan) all this time. I'm being sent for a small bowel series but not till next month and then to a mobility specialist. My GI gave me something to help the food move faster thru the intestines so the bacteria can't have a field day with it, ie gas but I have not tried it yet. VSL, Culterelle, was not making a difference. Maybe I should try another brand? Who else has this and what do you do to tame it? This never ends....

The medical literature indicates that antispasmotics and antidepressants have been effective with IPS.

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.
