The closure of my ileostomy in November was a no go because my pouch wouldn't dilate. The MRI scan I had at the beginning of the month showed blood in my left ovary and inflammation on the left 'lateral' side of my pouch. I received a copy of a mail from my consultant to my surgeon suggesting I have a laparoscopy to rule out endometriosis (they said it would be unusual for me to have this as they would have found it when they opened me up in April). I'm now waiting to hear what my surgeon has decided.
But does anyone know what could possibly be the problem? I am also consistently losing weight, I have a very high output so this will not be helping but I am concerned...
*Proctocolectomy w/ J-Pouch and temp ileo April '11 *Takedown 23rd Feb '12. Pouch didn't work resulting in intestine tearing at join = emergency op 1st Mar '12 to give me temp end ileo.
