1-2 is average, but some people do have a bowel that doesn't want to wake up as soon. Also, pain meds (while necessary) will slow things down and make the wakeup take longer. Try the gum and a lot of walking, if you can.

Thanks to everyone that answered my question for me. Just wanted to let you all know that my bowels did wake up today (day 2 after takedown). Such a relief. Thanks again!
