I am partial to Mount Sinai but NYP is a great hospital as well (my fiancee is a physical therapist there). Never heard of Dr. Michellassi but probably their most renowned J Pouch surgeon is Dr. Jeffrey Milsom. People rave about him.

Stitch granuloma removal - December 7, 2011

Hi Min, Just wonder if you saw my post about the fabulous Dr. F. Michelassi. He did my surgery in 1997 at the University of Chicago. It was a great loss to all his patients when he opted to go to NY. I think he is absolutely fabulous & if I had to have surgery again, I would definetly fly to NY from Indiana & see him. I have never heard a negative comment about Dr. M. His compassion, caring, and concern is over the top! Please say hello to him from Arlene Heward when you see him. I know he will remember me because that's just the way he is. You are very lucky to have him.
