It has been two and half weeks since surgery. I have what I would call a constant pressure with times of accute pressure in my rectum. I also have discharge of mucus a 2 to 4 times a day. If anybody else has experienced this please let me know what it was and how long it lasted. I have not called the doc yet trying to get an idea what it might be first. Or if it is common after surgery.

Are you on 2nd surgery out of 2 or 2nd out of 3? I had the 3 step after my second surgery which was Nov 11 2009 I had mucusy discharge till my final surgery which was Jan 6 2010. I also had the mucus after first surgery. My dr told me it was totally normal not to worry about it. Hope this helps.

Yes Sallee, there was some discomfort but it doesn't last long probably for me 2 or 3 weeks. It wasn't terribly bad though.
