Hi! I haven't posted on here in a while, glad to say, because our daughter had her reversal done on 6/27 in Cleveland and she's been doing great (2nd jpouch). For the last 2 days, she has had a light yellow/tan tint discharge from her vagina, and more pressure in rectum area. She is not running a fever, and the discharge doesn't look like stool. I am wondering if we should call an obgyn regarding this or the Cleveland Clinic? She just turned 18 recently now we have to find a doctor that would specialize in taking care of situations like this near us, any doctor suggestions, like type of doctor to find? I'm just not sure what could be going on with her, doesn't sound like a fistula, but I don't know what all the signs are if she did have one?
Thanks everyone!
Two daughters that have FAP. Oldest daughter had 2nd jpouch 2/07 and takedown 6/07 at Cleveland Clinic & doing great!!

It could just be a yeast infection; it's probably best to let her obgyn look at it. I wouldn't worry that's it's a fistula just yet. When I had my fistula I had a really high fever, severe pain in the vaginal area, and obvious stool coming from the vagina.

i have that off and on for like the past year now! nobody can tell me wat it is. i did yeast infection treatments and it is still there..no pain or anything. not a fistula either-- i have had 2 mri's this year and i have other fistulas but nothing is wrong with my vaginal area...if you figure out wat it is let me know! it hasn't really bothered me too much but it is weird!
Ever since my takedown (six months ago), I have had my period twice a month (as if once a month wasn't bad enough). Surgery really reaked havoc on my cycle, apparently.
How does this relate to your question? Well, I get some discharge before and after my period, which my obgyn has screened and has assured me is normal. Maybe your daughter has something similar?
Fistulas are scary business, and even though I've not had one, I still live in fear of getting one, for whatever reason. So, I would just keep an eye on it and if it ever smells like poo, then I would worry...
