I have had my J-pouch for about 3 years and never had any problems. Lately when I finish going to the bathroom I have like a throbbing pain inside my rectum. No burning or sharp pain just feels sore up in there. It is not real severe pain but annoying. More intense the first 15-20 mins after going then it sort of disappears but I still feel a little soreness...any ideas? Thanks, Mark

Could be cuffitis (don't know if you retained a cuff or not), or simple anal irritation from pushing or passing stool.

I have had burn over the last week, and the last two days it has gone away, but has been replaced by a similar sounding soreness. I can't think of why this would be, but have had it happen before and it will go away. I have found that ointments (A&D) help soothe things.

Mark I have the exact same feeling. Feels like something is still in there to get out. Thats how I describe it too throbbing pain, but not real severe. I believe it might be cuffitis I had this before and used cortifoam and it seemed to go away. Now I'm taking Canasa but I'm getting that throbbing pain again. I seem to get it worse in the evening after I empty. I find if I wait an hour or so and then go back to the bathroom I get whatever was sitting there I think.
