I had my temp ileostomy done about 7 weeks ago. I have had no activity out of my rectum - until this week. I went to the bathroom (to urinate)and as I was releasing, some mucous came out as well from my rectum. It was clear and not very much. Is this normal? Should I be concerned?

Hi, Yes the mucus discharge is normal. From my experience, sometimes the discharge was brown and very foul-smelling! It helped to wear a mini-pad there.
