Hi everyong,
I'm not having a big emergency I just want to make sure I am using my product in the best manner. As concerns calmoseptine and ilex. I obtained them for itching and I've found both to work great. For those who have tried them which is best to help healing? I find ilex works great as a protective barrier that I don't have to apply over and over. My second concern is how far can I place each product to make sure it really keeps me from irritation. Near the rectum? slightly inside?Where ever I feel irritated? As I said in another post I have had so much improvement with itching before I had these products I was a grown man who was nearly in tears the itching felt like some kind of torture but now it is much better. Thanks everyone this site is truly like a life line. C |

Not sure about the Calmo vs. Ilex question. My impression of Ilex is - like you said - that it's more of a protective barrier than anything.
As for where to apply the ointment, stick it on in there! "...it came to pass..." - I Thess. 3:4b (NASB) |

Finger cots are the way to go ... not a full glove, but your digit is nicely covered up! Cheaper than gloves too!
I am a pastel artist and use them all the time while working on a painting ... and now use them to place my lidocaine/diltiazem ointment in just the right spot on my stricture/sphincter area. |

Nice advice on the cots.

I've always found relief with calmoseptine, it seems to work for itching and healing for irritation. I don't always need it, but when I do, I just apply each time I empty.
