I have used them before - with UC, prior to takedown, and after takedown. It's just hydrocortisone. I haven't seen it mentioned by brand (Anusol) here, but if you search for 'hydrocortisone suppositories' you should see mention of them. They're just topically applied cortisone - to reduce inflamation and stop bleeding. Most people don't find them very effective, but they're a good first line remedy I think.

Yep, bog standard ('scuse the pun!) suppositories. More useful to people with only hemorroids, not IBD, I imagine, but I've used them when I've thought that my bleeding is hem's rather than UC.

Hydrocortisone suppositories are a typical treatment for cuffitis and/or anal irritation. Mesalamine suppositories are also typically prescribed. Jan
