Last night I woke up at 1 am with severe stomach pain. It lasted about 5 hours. I had to walk hunched over- it hurt so bad. I thought that it was gas or that I needed to use the bathroom- but even after I did the pain was still present. It didn't go away until I forced myself to be sick and used a heating pad on my stomach. I no longer have the stomach pain- but noticed an odor when I went to the bathroom. Normally there is none. I was wondering if anyone had any leads as to what this could be from? This has never happened to me since my surgeries.

Thinking back to yesterday- I may have taken 1 more Lomotil pill than I normally do. Also, I had used spray butter that was 2 weeks past the sell date (didn't notice that til after). Those are the only things that stand out in my head that was different about my day yesterday.

Please help!!!!!!!

A partial obstruction combined with possible food poisoning is a nasty combination. You have yourself stopped up when your body is trying to rid itself of toxins. However, one extra Lomotil shouldn't make a huge difference, but if you are sensitive to it, it can. I know my husband (who still has his colon, but has UC) gets constipated after taking only a couple of doses of Lomotil.

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.

I`d say the butter was the culprit.I`m sure you felt a bit better after throwing up.I hope it isn`t anything too serious and that soon you`ll be back to your old or young self again.Take care and God bless. Wink
