hello all...just wanted to know how u would go out explaining u have ileostomy in job interview situation..if ask questions due to sensitivity..or to person u work under..etc

I'm not sure why you would have to mention it at all if you are physically able to perform the job duties with the ileo.

The only reason you might want to mention it is if you are planning on have a pouch created or TD in the near future and you'll need the time off for surgery/recovery.

In my last interview I didnt say anything about it. a couple weeks in to the job I had really severe pains one night, I thought I might need to go to the hospital for, I ddidnt. The next day I just told my boss about my surgeries, I told her that chances are nothing will happen but in the odd chance they do this is whats up. She understood completely

No need to mention it, and, in the US, employers can't ask about health history. What they can ask is if you can perform the job, with or without accommodations.

There are few jobs I can think of where an ileo would prevent you from doing as good a job as any one else, provided you are well recovered from your surgeries and the ileo is functioning normally.
