I am so proud of him! He has worked so hard to get to where he is today. For anyone interested there is a description of the scholarship requirements and an application to apply for the 2007 scholarship.

Thanks guys! I really am proud of him. The scholarship was based on living beyond the boundries of Crohn's...and that he does...he never lets it hold him back. It is turning into a much bigger deal than I thought. There is talk of him doing a spot on either The Letterman Show or the Jimmy Kimmel Show!!! He doesn't want to do it though. His feeling is having Crohn's does not define him. If they are interested in talking to him about his other accomplishments he might do it but he doesn't want his life with Crohn's to be the sole focus. By accepting the scholarship he is required to do media releases so we will see what happens. I thought the blurb on the Crohn's and Me site would be the extent of it but I guess I was wrong. He has three interviews with the PR staff this week. They are also sending him to the Digestive Disease Week conference later this spring. Wow so much to take in.

I hope any of you students with Crohn's will look into this scholarship. They are giving out 30 more I think for 2007. I wish they had a similar sholarship for UC.
