I posted on the pouchitis area about rifaxin but no one answered yet In addition to all of that fun, my rectal area is spasming like crazy! I just put a call into my Dr and I'm waiting to hear what he thinks. It kept me up all night so I'm quite an extra mess this morning. At this point, every bathroom trip is a trip to H. E. double toothpicks! And yes, I am soaking in the tub but it only helps for a few minutes afterwards. I just had to complain! Thanks for listening.

I'm sorry no one answered you, but I'm also sorry I don't know anything about the medication you're taking. I bet Jan knows, but she's on vacation. Anyone else out there know about the side effects of this drug and if it causes fevers lasting for days? I looked up your last post and rifaxin is spelled differently there, so you may want to clarify. Hope the doc gets back to you soon!

I know what the spasming feels like. I usually get it for one day once a year. But in the early times of my pouch which is seven years old i had that problem a lot of spasming. I went to the surgeon and they said everything was fine. It soon passed but i sit on a boucny ball and jump up and down when i have one. It's embarressing though at school sometimes becuase you look kind of weird quenching your fists or somethin. I feel really bad for you and i totally understand how you feel. It plain old sucks!
