i had to get a new account. i haven't been on here for a very long time;i had jpouch removal surgery in april 2009 and i have been keeping busy since i healed....

life is pretty sweet now and i wanted to share that in case someone is scared of having surgery (like i was).

i still get annoyed at this ostomy from time to time (okay, every day at some point!), but i eat whatever i want- even popcorn, nuts, salad, and fruit! and mcdonald's lol... and i got back into the triple digits on the scale. so i got to buy new clothes, which is awesome! haha! the best part is that i don't feel sick all the time, and i am prescription free right now! and i no longer have time to read novels when i go to the bathroom. i go to school though! and i go out with friends, dancing and to movies and stuff. i have dated too, and the bag has not been an issue so far. not to paint an idealized, rosey picture of life now- because things are never perfect- but they could be a heck of a lot worse!
