...seven years ago today that I woke up from takedown and began my voyage into the land of buttburn, leakage, urgency, and sleeplessness.

THANK GOODNESS! It's better today than those many days ago.

I won't say perfect but my pouch is indeed working pretty well. Occasional leakage and even less frequent butt burn (thanks to probiotics). I can eat pretty much what I want (no peanut butter or pizza - but I can live with that).

Life is good!

Kim

Hi Kim,

I'm so glad that your doctor stopped your pouch removal at the final hour and decided to have you try probiotics instead otherwise you wouldn't be posting such a wonderful, positive thread today! Big Grin

Keep up the good work. Smiler

Congrats Kim! I remember checking everyday to read your "Probiotic Diary" and cheering you on in your attempt to save your pouch. Time flies doesn't it?

Hey Kim!!!!

It's so nice to hear from you and even nicer that things pouch-wise are going well for you!! It's hard to believe that this all happened so long ago - time really goes by fast.

Here is to another 7 great years!

Congratulations Kim...when I first came here 2 1/2 years ago after my takedown your posts gave me such inspiration. I too am so glad your surgeon stopped your surgery and tried the probiotics. It is always nice to hear good stories especially from someone who was through so much...

Hope all is well.

Another Kim....

Congratulations Kim!!!!!!!! I hope you have continued success with your J-pouch. You came so close to having your pouch removed, and each year brings about new drugs and therapies for colonless people. Hugs Big Grin

Always remember....After the storm there's a beautiful rainbow.

I told the truth, I stood my ground...one against an International Corporation with money and power. I am proud I tried to right a wrong (an illegal wrong) done to me with such impossible odds. I appreciate the courageous attorney who stood beside me, believed in me and saw it through to the end.

A miracle*, an angel*, my granddaughter *Jada Lynn*. You have taught me so much in so little time. A precious gift from God.
