So...does anyone else get sick at their pouch when they get a sinus infection? Besides feeling totally exhausted and crappy on the top half, my pouch is way unhappy, I suppose from all the drainage/infection flowing its way. I keep having pouch spasms and incomplete emptying, pain, and diarrhea. It almost feels like pouchitis.
Went to the doc yesterday and expect to feel better soon (I hope) with some Augmentin.

No matter what happens to my body elsewhere, my pouch reacts..sinus, bronchitis, ear infection (we won't even touch root canal!)or migraines..my pouch knows and makes sure that I do too (galbladder kills me most)...everything in life seems to be about my pouch including my pouch!

It could be worse...oh, wait..it already has been! then I guess it can only get better from here....

Same as Sharon - any kind of bug, infection (including sinus), whatever, my jpouch gets a little angry. Had the same reaction when I had my colon, as well.

That's so strange that you've mentioned this! I have had my pouch for 3 years and have since developed a almost chronic sinus issue (kind of backwards from what you're saying, but I do think the 2 are related). I've noticed the sinus infection gets worse whenever my pouch is bad, or maybe it's the other way around. I'm so used to the sinus infection that I don't notice it until it gets so bad i can't eat because I'm gagging and puking on flem (nice mental image). So maybe the the sinus infection is what spurs the pouch problems in my case too and I just don't notice. Thanks for posting this topic. I never noticed the correlation. I hope that both get better for you really soon!
