Jason, just read your post and we have the same anniversary date. I had my operation done May 4,2007. I too have had an awakening of sorts. Since my last post I have visited my brother in San Diego had no problems(ate alot),went jet skiing with my other brother, and have done alot of shopping with my daughter hassle free. Isn't it great? I'm glad to hear that you are doing well too. Just do it and keep on doing it. That's what my brother tells me.

Sounds great and congrads!!! I can understand how happy you are by reading that post! The 25th is 4 months with my end and this is the best I ever can remembering feeling! Its so unreal how I have 100% of my life back! My wife said to me its nice to have the old Jason back and she is so right! I am getting ready to start ice skating again and plan on playing ice hockey again come Jan - need to get my legs back in shape LOL!
Bottom line when ppl ask me was it hard to go to an end illeo - simple answer.. from day one with this disease I wanted to feel better - NOW I DO! Heck they can hang the bag off my head and I wouldnt mind if I knew how great life can be again!
Now I am off to the hotub to join the wife outside and have a cigar - Ahhhh life is hard sometimes Smiler

KEEP ON LIVING LIFE!

Just wondering what an "end ileo" operation is.

I had a J-Pouch surgery 15 months ago. I have a lot of pouchitis, but things seem like they are slowly improving.

Thanks

To make it quick and not painful to read lol... I had a Loop Illeo (like with the 2 step jpouch before the TD) My pouch and I didnt get along and went to an End/Brook(sp)/Perm Illeo. Its done lower on the intest and much easier to control and less output and easier to keep (for most ppl) Meaning, someone with an end usually has their pouch removed and decided to stay with an illeo for good - again non medical write up on it Smiler

LOL Brian.. Yep, a Stay at home D man! I am now 4 months out and its amazing once I got out there and working out and skating I feel perfect now and energy is coming back fast. I am 36 and play against KIDS (20's) and they still think its for real.. When I hit them I bounce. I love the game and feel just like i did before all this. Its amazing.. when I skate I sweat a ton (drink gatoraid the whole game) and at end of the game bag is empty - I think I sweat it out and its all working perfectly! Thanks for the kind words and Life is better then perfect!

Jas,
Doesn't surprise me that your bag is empty when the game is over.

With my UC, if I was borderline sick, once I got out onto the ice it would basically shut down- I'd have ZERO problems... not even a twinge.

Obviously when I was real sick with a lot of bleeding, I couldn't play, but otherwise, being on the ice playing was my only real relief!

Sounds like you and I have even more in common than we originally thought!

Pit vs. Mon right now in HD- NICE!!!
