I had 3 surgeries in 2004 (see signature). I am now 7 full years post-op from my last one. Every year since 2004 I have usually been aware enough to remember the anniversary of those surgeries. But not this year. Just kind of rocks that, this 'thing' (UC followed by J-pouch), that has been such a determining and controlling factor in my life can, many times, take a back seat to life.
