Hey Everyone, I just wanted to thank all of you for all the info that you all post to this site. I just had my take-down surgery last week and I was very comforted knowing that there were so many other people out there who battled UC/Crohns and are finally finding relief. I had UC for six up and down years. I was on Asacol, prednisone, imuran, and remicade but eventually nothing worked anymore. I finally made the decision to have surgery this past January and things have been better and better ever since. It was wonderful being able to eat food again without spending the next day in bed with cramps and bloody diarea. It has been just over six months since that first surgery and I just had my take-down. I would have waited longer to have the final stage completed, but my stoma started closing up on its own and I was already beginning to use my new plumbing on my own. My surgeon has never seen that before, so the final stage was just a formality and things have been working fine since the surgery. I hope to get to know some of you through this website. I hope that my experiences will offer some good info to all of you as well. Thanks for listening and all your support.
