sorry everyone but i feel I need to get this out. My son age 11 was being admitted to the hospital for Takedown on Wednesday well about 11:00 today they call and say that the surgeon has to cancel due to a family emergency. Well I understand things come up, but shouldn't they have another surgeon that can take his place if that happens? My son also Autistic understands some but is still upset about this. Just hoping he can have his sugery before we go to Disney in July

Take down is a pretty simple procedure and it is possible that someone else could do it. You could call and see if any of the other surgeons are open during that time. The problem is that with this late notice, their schedules are likely full. Plus, you would need to sign another consent form, since the one you signed was with that surgeon.

I'm sorry this happened to your son. I agree with Jan that you should try to call the office and see if someone else could do the surgery. They may think you would rather wait for your surgeon. I hope it works out for you.
