I dont post very often, and now its been almost 2 months post takedown with my new pouch.

During my whole 2 step surgery and my 8 weeks of having the ileostomy, this website and all you posters have been a real blessing having a place to read about everyones experiences with the pouch. I could never have prepared myself for the whole ordeal without everyone who posts on here and I am truely grateful.

I told myself that I would post regularly after takedown and let everyone know about my experiances and contribute to the forum, but to be honest with you I have been given a new life with my pouch and have not been true to my word. I know a lot of people out there with a pouch go on with there lives after being battleing for so long and I was one of them.

With my pouch I have resumed college and am scheduled to graduate in the Spring. I've been to the movies a number of times, and went out to nice restaurants almost everyday!

To all those who will face the battle of surgery, and to all those who are right now, the best advice I can give you is keep fighting, it will get better.

We actually don't expect you to actually keep your promises if you're out there living your life. But thanks for checking in anyway. And good for you for living life to the fullest!
