My husband and I are home shopping and it dawned on us today, as I carried our young daughter upstairs in a house to see the bedrooms, that we no longer have to stay away from 2 story houses. Since having my colon out my UC related joint pain has disappeared.

I have even started running again. How exciting.

Funny thing is that my UC was always controlled by meds with only a couple of nasty flares over 18 yrs. I never really considered myself sick... Guess I just didn't realize that my UC was more than just digestive.

Feels good to really feel good.

I was really sick...and I still have mild or minor problems. BUT I agree. By comparison...I'm so glad to have my life back. ANd my energy. With UC I was sapped! Just drained!

I'm off medications for high blood pressure and cholesteral since ditching my colon. I still have other health issues, maybe they'll all go away with time, I can always hope.
